Well, after 3 years of dealing with my old Dell laptop computer and it’s broken keyboard, I finally went out and bought a brand-new HP Pavilion dv1000 notebook computer. This thing is awesome… definitely a good choice! The funny thing is that originally I had planned on getting a Toshiba at the Best Buy I went to but they were out of stock. The dv1000 — HP dv1331se to be exact — was in stock and on sale so I said ‘what the heck’ and plunked down the $1400. The only thing I’m not crazy about with this computer is that, although perfect for watching DVDs, the odd-shaped screen makes it difficult to use lower resolutions. But, overall, I really really like this thing. So much so in fact that I’ve alread purchased laptop insurance for it — $200 for 1 year of international travel coverage!
Now that I have a really fast computer maybe I can get a little more work done….
