Something’s just not right when the oil companies are reporting record profits while millions of Americans are having trouble filling their gas tanks due to high oil prices. Yes, I know our president is a friend of the oil & gas industry but this is getting out of hand. According to a USA Today article I just read:
Profit [is] up 75% to $9.9 billion. That’s the second-most a U.S. company has earned in a three-month period, a USA TODAY analysis of data from Capital IQ found. It’s greater than the annual gross domestic product of entire nations, including Niger, Zambia and Iceland.
To anyone in the US government with a sense of fairness and or responsibility: PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!
