Tomorrow I have to drive from New Jersey to Las Vegas. Well ok, I don’t have to do it in one day. But I am leaving tomorrow. And it is cold. And there is lots of snow around the country. So I’m trying to figure out what I’ll need to make a good car emergency kit. Here’s what I think I’ll take on my little cross-country adventure:
Good Flashlight
Jumper Cables
Quart of Oil
Small First Aid Kit
Tire Inflator
Pocket Knife
Multipurpose Tool (Leatherman)
Duct Tape
Road Flares
Towels
Survival Food: Trail Mix, Granola Bars, Quart of Water, Gatorade, etc.
Warm Fleece Blanket
I also have a fuel siphon as well as a small red plastic gasoline container in case I run out of fuel (as I almost have several times in the past!). Hopefully this stuff will save my butt if I get into trouble.
